Where did you hear about the Assemblage?

Friends are wonderful things and these days they tell you interesting things all the time. Whether via Facebook, email, text messages and other high tech gadgets, or just good old fashioned hand written, cryptic, blood stained scraps of parchment, tied to the claws of an old black raven that lives in the blasted oak tree outside my... Well... yeah... Friends.

What is your favorite aspect of Steampunk?

Frankly it's the wonders of 'What If?' How would things have been different if technological advances had occurred in a different order. Clothes, gadgets, stories and a different historical framework make for some intriguing experiences I would expect. I have always been fascinated by steam engines and early technology. I have collected a few technical books from the late 19th and early 20th centuries when steam power was still a major source of energy. I'm particularly interested in transitions from one technology to another, for example the shift from sail power to steam for ships. These transitions are where cultures change and where political and social power shifts. I think Steampunk embodies the effects of those changes. Plus it looks really cool.

What Steampunk costume items do you have?

Some costume bits, a small model steam engine, lots of early technical books and way more ideas than time.

What type of events would you like to particpate in?

Meetups, costume events, strolls, technical tours, parties, swap meets.

Greetings I'm Kevin, sometimes known as Max. Looking forward to meeting and participating in Steampunk themed events.
