This is a Cape Town GNU/Linux Users Group supporting all things GNU/Linux and Free Open Source Software. Members interests are GNU/Linux, programming, hacking and software freedom. We are supporters of Free Software and encourage its use. We are particularly interested in helping people to install and use Linux on their computers. Our philosophy and ideas are closely aligned to the following organizations and people (I suggest you look them up): Free Software Foundation, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Richard Stallman, Eben Moglen, Jacob Appelbaum and Cory Doctorow.
