Every 2nd Friday, Carrboro has an art walk that can be habit-forming. It's not just art or walking, but ambling into and out of places that have something amusing and entertaining to offer which often includes light refreshments and adult beverages. The variety of venues makes for a lot of fun. The Artists are usually local and the change each month. Places are dotted along the path from the North Carolina Crafts Gallery, up to the Frank and Ackland in Chapel Hill, then back down Main Street. Look for exhibits in Jesse's (coffee shop), Fleet Feet Gallery, the Arts Center, and other venues to find what makes this area such an art community.
If you're running late, and miss us outside the Station/Southern Rail, we head to the Arts Center first, then go the various other art venues from there.
We'll loop up as far as Main Street Gallery, and then loop back to return at ~ 8. (The Walk is from 6pm to 9pm.) Any place along the way, those who need to go can turn around. Each month this map is updated with the current exhibits. Print your own especially if you'll be late and wear comfortable shoes. Public parking is near the Open Eye or Armadillo Grill.
Volunteers needed to Host this MeetUp during some months. Send an email if you can help!
