Let's take a Guided Walking Tour through UNC's Coker Arboretum

UNC is hosting a series of free campus walking tours where University experts are your guide. On Friday April 13 at 3pm Grant Parkins, NC Botanical Garden natural science educator will lead the Coker Arboretum tour. All tours begin at UNC Visitors’ Center, located inside Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, at 250 East Franklin Street. (The entrance has large columns and blue welcome banners flanking the door and is to the right of the planetarium entrance. There is a photo posted with this MeetUp's name.) The tour will last 1-1.5 hours. Paid parking maybe available in the Morehead Lot outside or on Franklin Street or in the downtown public lot on Rosemary Street ~ 1-2 blocks away. These tours are open to the general public (not limited to our MeetUp group).
(In the case of inclement weather call to make sure the tour is on. UNC Visitors’ Center contact: Missy Julian Fox, (919)[masked], [masked])
I'll post more information closer to the date. Here are the details:

There was 39 of us for the walk (7 from our group). The weather was perfect and the guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the history of the Arboretum and the many of the native plants. Clearly a beautiful place where the magic changes with the seasons. If you missed this the Botanical garden usually sponsors a tour Saturdays at 11am. See their web site http://ncbg.unc.edu/coker-arboretum/

I've been unexpectedly delayed. Am hoping to still be able to get there by the start of the walk. If not I'll look forward to next time.
