This is the 2nd part of a series of advanced creative lighting workshops to be hosted by Bo Zhang, of www.boandbro.com. Bo is a DC based, published fashion photographer, who frequently shoots fashion assignments in New York. The lighting techniques will be based around fashion/portraiture lighting. Workshops in the Advanced Creative Lighting Workshop series demonstrate the use of other types of light modifiers, light sources, indoor outdoor lighting techniques.

Jason StevensBo guided us through maybe 8 or 9 different lighting setups. He did a great job explaining the intent of each and contrasting each look with previous ones. A few times we gathered around a laptop while Bo used shots from his website to demonstrate different points we were discussing. This workshop focused on 2 light setups, where Creative Lighting Workshop I covers 1 light setups. Near the end of the workshop we moved one of the lights out into the alley and played around with balancing flash/ambient light as well as dragging the shutter to get different effects. Thanks to Bo for sharing his expertise and to Paulo for organizing!
