Join us for the next in our series of Fine Art Nude workshops!
The workshop "The Female Nude: Study of a Dancer" will be an exploration of the physical strength, balance and muscle tone of a professional dancer. Some examples of this genre are "The Dancer" by Robert Mapplethorpe, and the book "Airborne" by Lois Greenfield.
Our model for the workshop will be Colleen (age 24), who studied dance in college, and now dances at a local men's club. Colleen also has been building her portfolio as an art nude model, so this is a great opportunity to add an exceptional model to your portfolio!
The workshop is intended for photographers who are familiar with studio lighting and working with figurative/nude models. The structure of the workshop will allow each photographer to meet and direct the model in a "mini-shoot" of 25 minutes. At the end of each "mini-shoot" the other photographers are invited to briefly capture images of the model/lighting/concept. Photographers will take turns "directing" the model, and as a result, have the opportunity to shoot 6 different scenes with the model. The instructor will be available to assist the photographers during their mini-shoot, as necessary.
