Please upload your submissions (Limit is 6000 words, but you may go a bit over to avoid an awkward break.), double-spaced, in Word 97-03 (.doc), or RTF) to "Files" under the "More" tab by 3:00pm on Sat. 7/5. Note whether it is a complete work or a piece in progress. Critiques will be optional on any work posted later. Bring your crits to the meetup so that you can present their main points, and please upload them to "Files" ASAP afterward. (If you submit work it WILL be critiqued, so there is an expectation of quid pro quo even if you do not attend the meetup.) Note: Some work submitted may be intended for mature readers, so if you are under 18 years of age we request that you obtain permission from a parent/guardian before you participate. At Flapjack's enter through the front door, make a right, and go to the tables at the far end. We're in the restaurant, not the pub. See you there!

Just a reminder that I'm not going to attend the meeting since I'm in NY. I'm posting everyone's critique right now. I'm looking forward to reading what you all have to say about my submission. I hope the meeting is awesome (as I'm sure it will be).

Hey, I'm a bit confused. Is this upcoming meet up going to have a theme or is it general critique?

General critique. Just a fancy spancy name.

Sorry about the confusion. I challenge myself each month to come up with a creative title for the meetup, preferably one that relates to the month or season.

Ok Don, Cleared my calendar for the Sundays to get my head, hands, feet gripped on my writing to make it a possibility to be opened to a new chapter in my life. Do good writers breathe? I am learning how to breathe my stories that are in my head. Thanks for having this group.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
