I think we should apply a bit more structure to the next couple of monthly meetings and see what kind of difference that makes before leaping to more frequent meetings (virtual or otherwise).
 
With better organization, we might even be able to increase the submission length to 15 or 20 pages from the current 10 page limit.  This would give each author more to chew on between critique sessions and enhance critiquers' read flow, especially where the submissions are pieces of longer works.

My preference would be to keep our meetup schedule as is. I want to be able to give thorough critiques to those who submit. A shorter time frame might reduce the quality of the crits, especially if we have a large turnout.

How about we try alternating bi-weekly and tri-weekly meetings? Sometimes we might have two bi-weekly or two tri-weekly meetups in a row. This would give us flexibility to more easily get around holidays and will work best if we schedule three or four workshops in advance.
