St. Pat’s Day -Durham option #1 - Food, Music, & Dancers at Doolins Pub!

“It's time for the Wearin' O' The Green in the Triangle. How will you celebrate this St. Patrick's Day in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill? We have the parade and festival in Raleigh on Saturday - and then -

St. Patrick's Day itself – is on Sunday this year! We can have fun all day!!

OK Here is the plan - feel free to request changes - but I thought I should come up with something. A 2 or 3 Stop Pub Crawl in DUrham-Raleigh . Centered around meals and Irish music and dance shows - so no heavy drinking required!! But OK!!

(I was hoping to start with Irish Breakfast in the morning at Kildare's in Chapel Hill, but turns out, that is their other state locations - here they don't open until 12 noon. They will serve Irish breakfast starting at noon, though, with pipers and music. But I like Doolins better!)

Raleigh option _ Full Irish Breakfast 10-12 at Tir Na Nog and then Music all Day from noon to  late

Durham Option #1 - 12 noon - Lunch at Doolins irish Pub in Durham - see below for details

Durham Option #2 - depending on how it's going at Doolins or TNN, we may want to go on to the James Joyce, our old haunt on Main St. in downtown Durham,  and check out the FREE pig-picking and beer across the street at their music venue, The Casbah.  See Separte meetup for details.

Stop #3 - 7:00 pm - Dinner  - TBD -  probably TNN hads the best evening music - so back to Raleigh!  Or, some might want to check out the Hibernian in CAry, or Bull McCabe's in Durham.  Have a fun St PAtty's DAy!!

          12:00 Noon

Let's eat, drink and celebrate St. Patty's Day at this cozy Durham pub! We'll meet for lunch right at opening at 12:00 noon-ish, then we will mingle a while, after that you're on your own to stay as long as your heart desires. Be sure to wear green or risk getting pinched!

Please note that Eclectic Adventurers/Gaias Gardens meetups have also posted this event at Doolin’s Pub – they are coming at 1:45 – so let’s get there before the crowd!

Those of us who have had enough at Doolin's after the dancers, may choose to go on to Stop #2  - maybe the James Joyce - around 3-4 pm - but we'll see how we feel!   call me to see where we are -[masked]   Slainte,  IOne
