Finished The Nightingale last week. A touching book with a real sense of the terrible deprivations of life in occupied France and the bravery of two sisters, raising the age-old questions of personal responsibility and choices. Touching and imvolving.

"The Boys on the Boat" was such an incredible read. It is my absolutely favorite book last year. I had no idea that rowing would be so interesting....I totally got into it.

I read "Gold Finch" the first few pages were really good, but soon it turned crazy and unreadable. Please do not waste your precious time on this horrible book.

Sometime its fun just to get together with a group of readers to talk about books they have read, why they liked it, and books to recommend to the group.

I admit, it's a deep book that requires discussion! But, I think it's a book that could yield one of our best discussions. I think some of those who have been in this book club for the longest would agree with me that a reader's view of a book is affected dramatically by discussion, and in the end - we all voted on this book and I know without a doubt we'll have a fantastic time, as always.

I read "Blood of the Lamb" and did NOT like it at all. It was difficult to read and make sense of it. It certainly was not 'funny' or I did not get the dark humor of it.
I see that July's book is changed. Thank you. I could not read the small cartoon print and from what I did read, I did not like it. So thank you.

I have tons of books listed at Goodreads that I have read and liked or would like to read, but I can't get them to appear on the page that Goodreads provides Charleston Book Club. How do you get your listings to transfer over? If you click on my icon at Goodreads
you can see on the upper left hand corner my listings but I'd like to transfer them all on to the main page as other members have. Can anyone help me? Thanks
