I decided it was time to update my profile. I've now been in Charleston almost 3 years and the CBL group has been a treasured part of my life here. We are diverse, interesting and fun and our book discussions very lively.
The Snow Child for complete transportability and imagery. Unbreakable is an amazing story of human endurance. And I loved a recent reread of The Fault in our Stars. Probably one of our best discussions, too.
Newly published, although I mostly read on my Kindle. I do love browsing bookstores as I miss covers.
Delicate, Edible Birds and yes. I don't read short stories as a general rule, so it was a nice change of pace.
I thought our discussion was a lot more riveting than the book. Also, saw this in the WP and thought it pertinent to our topic http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/belgium-considering-unprecedented-law-to-grant-euthanasia-for-children-dementia-patients/2013/10/31/67fd55be-4200-11e3-b028-de922d7a3f47_story.html
Thank you Laurie, Rachel and I had so much fun and I will definitely be back! - Abby

Thanks Laurie, I will check this out as it's going to be on James Island.
We had a great evening downtown and met new friends. Would love to get together again. [masked]
