Happy Hump Day, Lovers!
Just a quick note to say thanks to all who came out last night. Next month we will return to our more intimate home setting, since I am mostly mobile and better capable of hosting. Hope to see you all October 27th. We also have lots going on in the interim with the Charleston Public Library Pre-sale party and the French Quarter Art Walk.
With such a fabulous group of art loving benefactors in our club, each time we get together I take away some pearl of knowledge from a member's ever growing portfolio. I've wanted to create a spot on our Book Lovers site where we can all share a piece of art (in the comprehensive sense) that we have enjoyed. Isn't that the point of art and art-loving? If you see a great film, read a book that leaves you with a set of Samsonite under your eyes in the morning, or if you run across a beautiful photograph, a work of art, or perhaps visit a fabulous art venue, PLEASE share it with the rest of us. Maybe you went kayaking last weekend in some little known creek with an awe inspiring view of our low-country sunset, Please tell us!
So, under the "Discussions" tab on the website, select the forum "Share Some Art" and please do just that! I've posted a new-to-me poem that I love called "Diving into the Wreck by Adrienne Rich and I would love to hear your thoughts and comments if you'd like to share.
I'm only marginally computer proficient so we'll see how this works..... Let me know what you think but more importantly, SHARE SOME ART with the rest of us.
