No, this is not Italian! - but so many people in Il Tavolo are Francophiles that I wanted to let everyone know about this great French Film Festival, held through Alliance Francaise, taking place this weekend.
Friday's movie starts at 7:30. It's in the auditorium of the Institute of Psychiatry of MUSC, right downtown, at 67 President Street.
Come join us for Friday's movie called "Le Prenom." From an email about the festival:
"Opening the program on November 15 at 7:30 p.m. a Best French Film of the Year Nominee, the comedy Le Prénom (What's in a Name?) 2012 features four forty-something childhood friends at a dinner party, later joined by a fifth one. When one of them, announces the scandalous name he intends giving his son-to-be, the laughter turns to surprise and anger and causes a family meltdown as it forces each of the characters to face truths about themselves and each other. The screening will be preceded by a 6:30 p.m. reception."
No meetup fee; tickets are $5 for nonmembers of the Alliance Francaise (and $3 for members)
