Hello to everyone! First I have to say thank you to Chuck for everything he has done for this group. I think I speak for everyone when I say it’s hard to imagine Il Tavolo without you. Good luck in Kentucky, and please come back and see us from time to time!
I also want to thank him for asking me to take over the group. It’s a big honor as well as a big responsibility. I will do my best to help this group thrive. If you have any questions for me, don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can always write me through meetup.com or you can email me at [address removed]. I look forward to getting to know more of you over the next few months.
I hope you’ll be able to make it to the Dice ciao a Carlo (Good-bye to Chuck) dinner at Tuscan Bistro in Summerville, Sunday Sep. 23rd at 4 pm for a chance to say goodbye. 40 of you have already RSVP’d, so it will be a great event, and Chuck is even waving the usual $1 fee for this meetup! RSVP here.
Other great upcoming social events in September (remember, you do not have to speak Italian to attend any events, unless they are called “total immersion”):
Join the group to see a film in Italian on Saturday, Sep. 22nd at 7 pm at the Sotille Theatre. The Italian Film Festival returns to Charleston, and we will be meeting up to watch a movie in Italian together. $1 fee for non-cardholders, plus a $6 donation at the door to see the film. RSVP here.
For a full list of upcoming events, check out IlTavoloItaliano.com/GroupNews. If you’d like to host an event at your home, get in touch and we’ll make it happen! There’s something scheduled nearly every weekend for the next couple months but we have nothing on the schedule for the weekends of Nov 3rd-4th and Nov 17th-18th.
Hope to see many of you soon,
