Folly River - Little Oak Island - Marsh Kayak Adventure!

Folly Beach forecast for Saturday.... sunny, 67ºF, light winds, woohoo!

Enjoy a relaxing, fun paddle in the Folly River!

Oak Island / Folly River / Marsh Paddle - beginner friendly!

Plan:

First, consider the Sweetwater Cafe, right next to Sea Kayak Carolina, for brunch / lunch!

11:30 pm - Depart Sea Kayak Carolina - carpooling encouraged.

12:15 pm - Approximate launch time.

12:45 pm - Approximate time of high tide.

2:15 pm - Approximate arrival time back at the Folly Boat landing.

Depending on the decision of the group we will do either the Little Oak or Big Oak island loop. Big Oak would add about another hour to the trip.

This is a Meetup paddle -- all kayakers are paddling at their own risk and responsible for their own safety.  Lifejackets must be worn, properly fitted and zipped up.

Water temperatures are cold -- please remember that cotton clothing has no place on the water in these cooler temperatures.  Please wear appropriate synthetic clothing; and stop by or call the shop if you have questions about dressing for cold water paddling.

Free to paddle with your own kayak. Please call the shop at[masked] if you need to reserve a rental kayak (only $30 delivered to the landing!)

Shortest paddle ever! Sorry! Got caught in wall-to-wall Folly Gras traffic on the way to the landing. Saw the kayaks going under the bridge. It's a good day to wax and 303 my boats.
