Intro to Greenland / Traditional Kayaking

Join Sea Kayak Carolina's ACA "Traditionally Endorsed" Instructors and greenlandic enthusiasts for a no-stress, fun day at a local clear and clean pond learning the history and practice of Greenland style kayaking.

Work on gracefully getting in and out of the kayak, use of a narrow-bladed paddle for strokes and maneuvers, and having some fun.  Rolls will be demonstrated. No experience is necessary.

Class is limited to 5 students.  Kayaks and paddles available for use; or bring your own.  This is a perfect introduction to traditional / Greenland kayaking.

The cost for this 4-hour class is $45 for Meetup members.  Pack a lunch and snack.  Meet time at Sea Kayak Carolina is at 10:00 am.  Please call the shop to register at[masked]-7969.

Folks should consider traditional paddling instruction opportunities at the East Coast Canoe and Kayak Festival.  And by all means, mark your calendar and register now for the May 19 Intro to Greenland Rolling and the June 2nd & June 3rd weekend clinic with Greenland champions Mark & Becky Molina.

This was a great (no hyperbole) course. I learned a ton but not so much that it is all a blur. The course was taught at a pace that everything was easy to understand. The instructors were fantastic.

Thank you to Jeff, Chris, Ann and Kim for all your wonderful energy and contribution! Special thanks to Debbie and Jane who were invaluable top-notch instructors! Congrats to Chris who learned to roll (most gracefully) after the intro class!
