The race was great fun. The live music was super. The post-race activity was much too long and drawn out; could be greatly improved by being shorter.

I've got an idea... if I were to supply a NDK Triton and a partner... who might be brave enough... or foolish enough... to take Jonah and me on in the Charleston Patriot Challenge this Saturday? The NDK Triton - the highest performance tandem sea kayak in the world. The partner? Malachi - the highest performance little brother in the world. Please let me know if YOU are man enough!

Doug - Good to hear from you. Brittlebank Park is just about in the heart of downtown Charleston. (Charleston has a small downtown and everything is about 20 minutes or less away from everything else.) Street address is 108 Lockwood Blvd, just down the street from the Joe Riley Stadium and the Charleston Police Headquarters. Give a shout if you have further questions, and don't forget to pre-register for the race. And check out all the other kayak related activities in Charleston the weeks before and after the race.

I am comming from Cincinnati to race in the Patriot Challenge and wondered if Brittlebank park is easy to find. Is it close to downtown and all the tourist places?
