Stono River to Sandy Point

Depart Sea Kayak Carolina promptly at 1130 am - destination Battery Island Landing, on James Island.  Ride the ebb tide down the mighty Stono River to Sandy Point on Kiawah Island.

Low tide around 2:00 pm.  I anticipate we will be back at the Battery Island landing and driving home by 5:00 pm.

Free to paddle if you have your own sea kayak.  Kayaks are available for rent at Sea Kayak Carolina for only $30.  You must contact the shop at[masked] if you wish to reserve a rental kayak.

Lifejackets must be worn properly fitted and zipped up.  Please dress appropriately - no cotton!  This is a Meetup paddle -- all paddlers are paddling at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety.

Please contact the shop if you have any questions about the trip.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
