A quick reminder about the Reel Paddling Film Festival, and a note that all screenings will be indoors at Edisto Hall --
Then the East Coast Canoe & Kayak Festival kicks off this year with a sneak peek of the sport at the Reel Paddling Film Festival at 7:30 p.m., tonight, Thursday, April 19. Screenings will be inside at Edisto Hall at the James Island County Park. The festival is an international film tour presenting the world’s best whitewater, sea kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding and kayak fishing action and lifestyle films of the year.
The festival is touring through 100 cities in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Europe. In Charleston, it will be featured as the kick-off of the 22nd Annual East Coast Canoe and Kayak Festival. Audiences at the Thursday evening film festival will see ten category winners featuring stand up paddle surfing, whitewater action, sea kayakers exploring remote coastlines, motivating environmental documentaries, grueling kayak fishing battles, and comedic short films that capture the lighter side of paddling life.
