Bill, thanks for putting this trip together. It was great meeting so many paddlers. The Black River is one of the most beautiful rivers in the southeast. I hope to be a regular with the CSC.

Perfect Summer Day. Yeah it was hot but the water was deliciously cool and only inches away. The clouds were beautiful all day long but never darkened to rain. There was a following breeze on the river. There weer very few motorboats on the river today. That's good. There were green herons and anhinghas flying, and cuckoos and Prothonotary warblers calling. The sky was filled with dragon and damsel flies all day long. We had a glorious cool off and refreshing swim. I got to see my cardinal flowers in about the same spot on the river. I think we had 17 boats of all types. We had folks from Columbia, and Aiken and Charleston area. On the water by 10:30 or so and off by about 4pm. Terrific day. Thanks to Bill Turner for leading this trip.

This is my first time with your group; do you have an idea about what time we'll be getting off the river?

The Black River where we will paddle is up near Jamestown, SC. That's about 50 miles one way. There will have to be time to work vehicle shuttle at each end of the trip. Call Bill Turner[masked] for the details

Hi Dee, Sorry I didn't see this earlier. You can rent kayaks through Nature Adventure Outfitters, Timeout Sports, or Sea Kayak Carolina. You will need a way to transport them---you can buy a temporary system involving blue foam and straps for 50 or 60 dollars. Timeout has them.

    HI-
Are you able to rent kayaks/canoes on most of your trips? If so, how does that work?
    Thanks.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
