Please join Laure ( a native French member and former French Teacher) for our first BookClub: Le Club des Rats de Bibliotheque  (The Library Club of Readers and Thinkers)! She and I met yesterday and she has committed to heading up our new bookclub. She is a great teacher and can work with all levels!!! Please join us next Thursday at Amelie's Bakery in NODA to discuss:

What level of reading should we start with (children's books or more advanced)?

Possible books/articles to start with?

How often we should meet (we are thinking once a month)?

Possible great places to meet (Amelie's private room charges $75 per 2hrs but their open area is FREE)?

And much more!!!

I could not make it tonight, but I do hope to get the book and make one of these meetings - the time and location are not great for me, but I love the concept.

I love the idea of the book club, I will definitely try to come to the meetings in the future. Thursday is not the best day for me though, enjoy your time there!

What a great idea. I am somewhat of a beginning, so I am looking forward to brushing up on my language skills and reading some great books.

Great idea! I cannot join a book club until after Christmas. Hope to meet up with you in the future.

Hello Mireille, We will most likely use French language books and depending of who is interesting in joining the club, we will then determine the book level (beginner, intermediate, advanced). We might as well break the club in different levels, if needed.

Well, I will join you. Question, which kind of books and what the language book French or english? See you Thursday

For this first meeting, let's meet in the open area (in the back of the bakery) - I will bring a french flag and put it on the table so that we can find each other easily.

And feel free to bring book suggestions!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
