No, we don't have other kids in the house. I work out of the house by day, and we are soon getting a dog. I have liked the idea of hosting for a long time but we've been concerned about the gay thing ( we would not want it to be a secret ) and have wondered if would could provide a good experience given that we don't have teenagers..

I think a lot of it would depend on the student's personality and needs.

Hi Michael,

It's not at all a problem.  You will be considered as a single parent househould because you're not technically married and there are many unmarried couples that are host families.  Do you have other kids in the home?

If you knew the point in time in the future
of which you are the happiest in your life,
and you had the way to get there without the journey,
would you take it?

Hi there, I've been interested in hosting an exchange student for quite a while...I speak Spanish and I think it could work out great for the student and for us ... How do I find out more?

One thing that's kept us hosting so far is that we see not sure if our being a gay couple would be a problem or not...

At this time I have 4 Spanish speaking high school students in my region to place (that doesn't mean however there aren't more Spanish speaking students in our whole company that need homes).

The students are responsible for buying their school lunches, personal products, etc. They come with full health insurance and at least $300 per month to help with their expenses. The family and student also has an area rep attached to them for the year. I'll give a $50 referral to anyone who sends ISE a host family.
