We are a friendly, diverse, group of friends in the Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs, Ball Ground, Marietta, Kennesaw, and Acworth areas and we want to make new nearby friends. We have both singles and couples -- and both are very welcome! Most of us are 35 to 65 years old, but anyone is invited to join us. We want to make friends with people from all walks of life. We welcome diversity and individuality.
Some of our events are: hiking, kayaking and canoeing (we love to paddle!), and horseback riding. We attend festivals together (like the Renaissance Festival and Dragon-Con). We have classic movie nights in and new movie nights out, Team-Trivia nights, and card and board game get-togethers. We go bowling, camping out, bike riding on the Silver Comet Trail, play mini-golf, and go on ghost tours together. We have even tried heart-pounding white-water rafting and daring zip-line canopy tours!
We have Harry Potter fans, Twilight fans, sci-fi/fantasy fans, Lord of the Rings experts, classic film buffs, dancing members, and sports fans -- members with all kinds of interests and differing religions, cultures, backgrounds, and views -- therefore, WE ASK THAT YOU KEEP IT SOCIAL when you come to our events -- no religion or politics, please.
Another important request: If you RSVP YES for an event, please BE COURTEOUS and show up! If you find you can't make it, change your YES to a NO, or write or call an Organizer to cancel or change your YES to a NO right away.
Also, when you attend one of our Meetup's, there is a rating request from Meetup.com afterward. Your Organizers work very hard putting events together for you and trying to ensure they go smoothly. Please be generous --we are hoping to earn your 5-STAR RATING and POSITIVE COMMENTS for our Meetups.
This is a wonderful place to make new nearby friends and have some fun. So, join us --come on along for some laughter and to try something different. Have an ADVENTURE with us!
