Trial for Vernon Hershberger--Raw Milk is NOT a Crime!
May 20 at 8:00am until May 24 at 10:00pm in EDT
Sauk County Circuit Courts, 515 Oak Street, Baraboo, WI
This trial is a HUGE precedent-setting trial! If Vernon is found guilty on ANY of the charges, we will see this method used to shut down buying clubs around the country! Please support this event in any way possible!! Please come as many days as you are able and send this message far and wide.
Peaceful farmer Vernon Hershberger is on trial for feeding his community.
Vernon is being forced to attend trial on criminal charges that include distributing milk from his "Grazin' Acres" dairy farm without a milk producer's license, operating a retail food establishment and dairy plant without licenses, and violating a hold order placed on his dairy products after the state raided his farm.
He has rejected a plea bargain that could have kept him out of jail. He was told he could plead guilty to two of four misdemeanors. In exchange, he would have had to pay a fine, been placed on probation, and would have had to agree to never sell or distribute raw milk products without a license.
Please join us in court to support this small independent dairy farmer and those who choose to use his products.
This is a BYORM--Bring Your Own Raw Milk--event! Wherever you are, join us with raw milk from your own farm, buying club, cow share etc. Stand in solidarity with Vernon and other peaceful farmers who are being criminalized for distribution of fresh milk! Bring your own to this event!
