My name is, Jim Goulding, and I've picked-up the Organization job of our group, to keep it going.
Click the following link to see my resume and website to learn more about who I am, if you're interested: www.jamesgoulding.com/CV.htm.
I'm currently in talks with Cisco to provide a venue where we can meet every other month. The meetings would be accessible from the Internet or by physically showing up to their location in Rosemont. Cisco has all the technology needed to provide a web presence for meetings.
(CISCO Chicago Customer Briefing Center 9501 Technology Blvd. Rosemont, IL 60018)
Once we have a regular meeting in place there's no reason we can't meet anywhere someone suggests, at any other time. I'm simply trying to introduce some regularity to our group; we'll see how it goes. I'm flexible and always open to change.
Why am I stepping up as Organizer?
(1) I'm a new CCNA and looking for a job.
(2) I spent 2 years at DePaul University and working with Todd Lammle, to switch fields. My choice was well thought-out, well researched. I believe in Cisco as the backbone to the most important technology invented since the printing press, the Internet. Now you know my motives up-front. Therefore, we can get down to business by pressing forward and utilizing the collective knowledge of nearly 300 people, whom make up this incredible group.
I will be in touch early next week after I finish negotiating with Cisco. Feel free to contact me any time: [address removed].
