Nietzsche "On the Genealogy of Morals" - wk 5

We pick up on our travels with section 7 of the third essay.

A few thoughts from our prior forays:

What are ascetic ideals?

What is the point with Wagner? - With Art? - With Philosophy? Are any of these different?

Is Nietzsche a moralist?

Is there a continuum between the first two essays and the third?

What is Nietzsche telling us (or pointing to?) with the opening aphorism?

We will do a live read of the text along with discussion.  Those new to the text are welcome to join.

by popular demand we will cover the classic "Meditations" by Descartes. We will use the Veitch translation available here: http://www.classicall... This does not have any of those pesky footnotes or commentary, so as Craig would say "no training wheels."

Hey everybody. About two weeks ago, I moved to Eugene, Oregon. I'm going to be unsubscribing from the group. But before I did, I wanted to say that I enjoyed the conversations I had with you all, and wish the group continued success.
