Brentano, 'Psychology from an empirical standpoint'

As part of a larger plan that has featured Bolzano's Theory of Science and that will include works by Frege, Meinong, and Husserl, we will be reading Brentano's Psychology From an Empirical Standpoint.  The readings will be broken down as follows:

1. Bk. One; Bk. Two, Ch. I (pp. 1-77)

2. Bk. Two, Chs. II-V (pp. 78-149)

3. Bk. Two, Chs. VI-IX (pp. [masked])

4. Appendix and Additional Essays (pp. [masked])

I'm interested in Will James and Gab Marcel's non reductive approach to empiricism which is open to religious experience of the nouminous directly and in secondary reflection on experiences of mystery of which we are a part, not only problems which we stand apart to analyse and solve like a puzzle before us, cf W James, Varieties of Religious Experience, and Gabriel Marcel, The Mystery of Being, and for that matter Whitehead's approach to experience. But good luck with your discussion

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
