Chichester Walkers and Cyclists is now into its 4th. year and since its inception has grown to a membership of over 400, with average attendance of around 20 - 30 per walk. Members are mostly from West Sussex and Hampshire but are welcomed from any area.
We enjoy a variety of activities now, but our focus remains on walking, cycling and exploring our beautiful part of England. We shall continue to enjoy the occasional music or curry evening, skittles and of course, the Christmas get together and meal.
Walks and rides are varied, being centred on the South Downs or along the coastal strip. Lengths of walks vary from 5 to 10 miles and usually finish with a pub lunch – for many a highlight of the day. We try to make our outings unique – they are researched by the organisers – rather than being taken from a book. Members are also encouraged to make suggestions and to lead if they are happy to do so.
We aim to post walks for alternate Sundays, interspersed with bike rides – and members are welcome to come as often as they wish, tell your friends or bring them along as guests, they would always be made welcome.
The fee of £1 per person per event covers the website charges, maps and first aid kit etc.
Continue to come and enjoy the walks and rides and let's make 2013 another successful year for Chichester Walkers and Cyclists.
