***An Important Note***
I am sure many of you are aware of the biased reporting by some of our local media folllowing the Cincinnati Tea Party on March 15th. Instead of focusing on the important broader message of the Tea Party, they instead chose to focus on a few, isolated incidents to create controversy. Consequently,

We encourage everyone to bring their video recording equipment to the April 15th event and to record any incidents that have potential of misrepresentation by the media.

Do Not engage hecklers who might be present and please help other marchers who might have difficulties controlling their emotions when confronted by hecklers.

After the march, if you have important video content, do not send us the large video file, but instead email me a description of the incident. As needed, I will then contact you with instructions on how to transfer these large files.

How big can this be? Incredible numbers. America is counting on you. Just you.
Join us!
Karen

Look for additional t shirt details and/or other pertinent information that will be sent out seperately very shortly.

I am so happy i went today. It was great. Everyone acted professionally. The speakers were great also. Sad that the oppositon used racism when they spoke to us. I am proud how everyone responded to them. there weren't enough to mess with anyway... what were there 20?

We thought it was great... And about 8000 people attended. Everyone was courteous and friendly. We were all enthused with the speakers.

Our numbers should be in the thousands! It's time for people to wake up and realize that our Country is changing - right in front of our eyes! I will be proud to stand up and be counted among those of us who love our Country and want to do everything we can to protect it!

Would anybody be interested in heading up to Columbus for the 6:00 Rally or Dayton. We could make a day of it! I think would kick butt to head up the highway.

The more I talk to people I realize that our numbers on 4/15 may be much higher than we anticipate. I plan to bring posters for the six of us in our group as this seems to be a media eye-catcher, maybe more than the masses. I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful group of American citizens who are willing to stand up for our constitutional rights! See ya there!

Looking forward to Americans who want the best and only the best for US. We must be heard. Mary

Can someone email me a picture of the t-shirts that are available for sale? I got the original email, but the picture didn't display. I'd like to see what these shirts look like.

Hi All, I'm one of the organizers of the Tea Party events working with Mike Wilson. First, let me thank you all for your interest and enthusiasm! Please be sure everyone goes to the official Cincinnati tea party site (www.cincinnatiteaparty.org) to RSVP there and get the details of the event. Putting RSVPs there will help Mike's efforts to get Beck by illustrating the full count. BTW: The current schedule is that speakers will start at 11:30 with the march starting at Noon. Warm Regards

This is an amazing opportunity to spread the word and to also get Glenn Beck here. If there is anything that we can do to help with the tax day tea party and/or with getting Glenn here, let us know! We are already working on sending an email to Glenn, as we would love to have him here.

I am very excited about having the opportunity to join everyone on 4/15 (I had to make some arrangements at work to be able to do so.) The Promotions Committee (of which I am a member) will not be meeting the first time until 4/9 but even so - thank goodness for e-mail - the media will get information in plenty of time to cover this event CORRECTLY. Now we just have to hope they do! Deb

I started working on this yesterday- will let you all know what comes of it. Its not really WKRC's place to invite him- If you want to "pitch" him- do it on the 912project site.

I agree with Karen, we need Glenn to participate in our tea party. It seems, when it comes to Glenn's appearances or venues, his management ignores Cincinnati. I think it's time we press for Glenn's appearance in Cincinnati. Clearly, he has a large number of listeners/viewers in this area as demonstrated at the WST viewing. Karen, do you think perhaps WKRC would be willing to get in touch with Glenn's management and offer a formal invite to Glenn?

    •  Motivating....simply motivating! As long as the momentum continues the Tea Party events, and groups such as the 912Project members, can be a voice for those the government currently views as "invisible" and inconsequential. It is obvious from the MSM press coverage that they are noticing these events...both here in Cincinnati and those held nationwide and it now necessary to be sure that our political "leaders" become representatives of the American people and not the special-interest and lobbyist....from the local to the state to the Federal level. These events need to continue and we, as members, need to educate others as to the true nature of these events and the meaning behind them. I hope more events will follow and that more people can turn out for these events. I believe we can collect more members, and have them participate, if these events can be scheduled on weekends or holidays. To anyone who reads this.....I'm glad that you were there!

       Only witnessed 2 Obama supporters.
    •  It was encouraging to see so many of us in one place. Everyone was kind, orderly, and excited. At one point ,on the way to the courthouse, some hecklers on the corner were trying to be a bit ugly. Our group kept shouting "U.S.A." We kept to task and I was proud to be part of our group.
    • Terri (+1 guest)
There were lots of people there, maybe next time there will be even more!
    • Ronna&Jae (+1 guest)
The group seemed to scatter early in the event
    •  It was peaceful and positive. I wish it was later in the day so more of my friends could have attended.
    •  First of all, there is not enough digits to put in all the people that came. You only gave us 3 digits and there were more 999 people there. There were probably over 5,000 people. It was all an upbeat affair with no problems that I saw. There were a few Obama supporters along the march, but we shouted louder than them with chants of "USA, USA". It was a very uplifting day and has put a new fire under me to get involved. I took the day off today. I was especially lit up after hearing the new report from DHS about us "Right Wing Extremists". What about all the left wingers that actually do violence? There is never anything said about them because it is a left wing media too. It was an awesome day!
    •  I enjoyed the speakers, and the protest signs! The only thing I didn't enjoy were the implications from the counter-protesters that those of us who are opposed to unrestrained spending and growth of the federal government, were opposing Obama on the basis of racism. Fortunately, though, there weren't any clashes between the protesters and counter-protesters, that I am aware of.
    •  Great turnout. Great speechifying!
    • Jorjann Chezem (+1 guest)
A bit long and a bit cold. There could have been more chants of solidarity. I could only put 999 people attended, there was more like 4,000!!!!!!!
    •  Uplifting and successful, except that the Mayor Mallory wouldn't come outside City Hall to receive the petition. Great to meet so many like-minded people.
    • mike fisher (+1 guest)
I had A great time ! Great people ! I love my town ! I love my country ! God Bless The U.S.A.!!!!!!!
    • Elaine (+6 guests)
Although there were a few hecklers, the masses of the people were wonderful. I met many new people and friends, and the excitement was contagious. There can be no doubt that the people who participated in today's tax tea party love the USA. I do wish we had put together some songs to sing to go along with the march. And, it would have been nice if Mayor Mallory would have taken the time to speak to the group...just to acknowledge our presence and maybe our concerns. ANYONE WANT TO RUN FOR MAYOR?? However, again the march to city hall was great and it made me proud to be an American!!!
    • Marty Steer (+1 guest)
One could not see a more cohesive group of well-mannered, friendly and sincere protesters than what we saw yesterday at the Cincinnati Tea party. The speeches were well delivered and hit the target on the messages that needed to get out. Although we know the petition to Mr. Mallory is not going to be accepted, he has to know how a large majority of Americans not only here but all over the country are feeling and that we will no longer remain the silent majority. I was pleased, however, to see no unruly protesting to which the media should give credit on both sides of the fence. This speaks well for our great city. Sadly, they missed the opportunity to point that out.
    •  Exhilarating! 4000 plus attended...can't put the numbers in above. Tried 4K but that didn't work.
    • Peter Wolf (+3 guests)
Proud to be an American and to be part of this movement to take back our country from corrupt and greedy politicians. Over 5000 - 6000 hard working Americans gathered during a workday to send a message that they've had enough. Speeches were great and all in attendance were well behaved.
    •  What a RUSH! Now I know how the hippies felt back in the 60s with their "sit ins". It was very peaceful and everyone was friendly and polite. There was one instance of slight dissent; one corner we passed on the way to City Hall held several (15?) people heckling us - but it wasn't that big of a deal. The signs were great - several people complimented mine. It read, "Let's Start Over! Restructure Government with Power BACK to the PEOPLE". I can't wait for more of these events - I loved it! It was so cool how the police kept the traffic back while we crossed through all the intersections. If there's a way to allow another digit above - I heard there were about 4500 people there.
    •  When are we going to Washington?
    • Dave Reed (+1 guest)
I found 10 people from 912 project in the designated section. When they asked us to move from our spot, everyone split up. I am disappointed that we did not stick together. Cinti tea party asked for volunteers and so I may find myself spending more time with them?
    •  I estimate over 5,000 people attended. Inspirational! The Silent Majority is silent no longer.
    •  The only negative was the chilly weather. Where is global warming when you need it! It was so great to see so many people (that our own government considers to be possible terrorists )come together in one place and have such a wonderful event. Such a polite crowd! The attendance- several thousand,. They were spilling into the street and onto the sidewalks on the other side of the street. There were also people on nearby rooftops. Speakers were terific!
    •  Too many people to mention. Too great a time. What a feeling. Makes me love my city.
    •  My favorite part was the lot of us singing in front of City Hall. Now I'm ready to start taking action.
    • Shawn Somers (+2 guests)
It was a very peaceful gathering. I had several pleasant conversations with complete strangers.
    •  It was truly a historical event. The speakers were great, and the crowds were enormous. Something like this can only get bigger as more people realize that it is their freedom at stake. This isn't a revolution of violence, but one of the heart, and Cincinnati has a lot of heart.
    •  I was impressed with the size of the crowd. We walked around 360 degrees, and in some areas it was hard to hear. I thought the crowd behaved well, even the opposition. I brought my 2 youngest kids they were not impressed, next time they stay at home. I hope the T.E.A. people and 9/12 people can get together and share there member list or at least a bi-weekly update. My personal opinion is that it would be great if there was less Obama bashing and more Anti Big Government. I don't care for Obama, or McCain or Bush or any big Government politician.
    • Jeanne Stephens (+4 guests)
It was a great experience. I believe we really sent a message to city hall and the country. I enjoyed marching with the other protesters together to stand up for what we believe in.
    • R MATHES JR (+2 guests)
Speakers were very good and interesting. A big improvment from the fisrt meeting. Where and when is our next meeting?
    • Impchob (+1 guest)
A great event. Participants in the thousands. As expected. city officials absent for presentation of petitions. Please adjust your first question/answer box so that it accepts responses greater than 999!!
    •  FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! First time I have ever participated in an event like this in my 66 years. Let's go to Washington, DC ! !
    •  It was very inspirational to see so many fellow Americans willing to come together to support our beliefs. It looked like 2-3,000 people gathered. We need to let our government know that we want to be heard. They cannot continue to make such costly decisions against our wishes. It was a huge success and my husband and I were proud to be there.
    • Maya (+1 guest)
It was fabulous to see so many people come out on a week day! I hope this is just the round two of many more to come in our effort to make our voices heard in Washington!
    •  More people than on 3/15. At least 5,000 or more. Good speakers.
    •  Was an awesome event, good experience for those new to peaceful demonstrations. I saw a lot of folks who are realizing the power they have to effect change. Keep the movement building!
    • Bobbie Beuke (+2 guests)
Very organized. People were typical conservatives. . .thoughtful, polite, no pushing, shoving, yelling or obscenities. As I figured, our illustrius Mayor was a no-show at City Hall. I think if he had the courage of his convictions he should have come out and discussed them with his constituants. However, on second thought, I would guess most people at the rally worked AND PAID TAXES in the city but lived outside the city and therefore not able to vote for him. So much for taxation with representation.
    • Andrew Cebulskie (+1 guest)
good speakers and good things to think about. counter-protesters very minimal.
    •  It was a very organized affair. Everybody was "UP" & very polite. Real Americans. John Donahue I think there was about 5,000 people there.
    • Caroline (+1 guest)
Almost 5000 people came, and it was fantastic! I'm excited and happy to see so many supporters for responsible government. We need to do more though! And less bashing specific people.
    •  It was awesome to see so many Americans get together to express their disapproval of government spending, debt and tax increases that are coming our way. I have not seen a more patriotic group of individuals since 2001. Many people waved American flags and flags from the Revolutionary War era and chanted "USA! USA!" on several occasions. Everyone was peaceful and most people had smiles on their faces. We are not a bunch of bitter clingers or sore losers. Even a few of the Obama counter-protestors were smiling. I just wish the Mayor and his office hadn't snubbed us when we delivered our petition. But I didn't let it get me down. Cincinnati and America are listening to us, and we need to keep standing up for our beliefs.
    • Dan & LInda (+2 guests)
It was great and very inspirational!! The speakers were just perfect and on point. I thought when we got to the courthouse we were going to sing God abless America but that didn't happen and the end was anticlamatic. All and all it was a good experience and the signs were so clever. I was surprised at the turn out. There had to be over 2500 people there.
    •  Greg Knox was terrific! The setting was perfect. Whole Cinti Tea party team did a great job. Would love to see an aerial shot of the rally goers!
    •  Met at the place where we were instructed to meet- under the flag, and only about 12 people were there at 11:00. Left to get closer to the tent where the speakers were about 11:15 and ended up staying there b/c I found someone I knew there. Sorry about that. Where were the 300+ Glenn Beck fans?
    •  It was a very good start, but only a start. The speakers were very good. I take my hat off to all of you/us. I do not believe that we were taken too seriuosly by the peolple who need to do so. Regrettably, I think it will take term limits and a further downward spiral to make progress. Our choices at the polls are poor. I do not understand some of the choices we have in this rating system, so I left some blank. Dave Prows
    • Mary (+2 guests)
I thought there were a lot more people today than in March, so i think there were about 8000 people there. I thought it was great. I loved the singing and the speakers, too. This is what it's going to take to get American back to the people......What else can we do?
