offended, this viewing party is not for YOU."

HI!** LOCATION CHANGED DUE TO SIZE** We are moving to the Crowne Plaza!!!
Thanks for joining the Glenn Beck group!I am not the organizing type, but I feel so strongly that our country, and our heritage, really, is in jeopardy. And I knew I wanted to do something to help- to feel like Im not alone. We will be meeting at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blue Ash in The Grand Ballroom (there will be signs) at 5901 Pfeiffer Rd in Cincinnati to watch the show on the 13th..

Go to the message board for important event updates, and if you would like to introduce yourself or start a new topic for discussion.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. Hope to see you there!

It was great to be around people who cheer when I do. Love our country and want to take back control. Wash. DC does work for us, they and should not control our money without us knowing exactly what they are doing with it!! Transparency, what a joke!!

It was so great to meet so many people at the event. I actually felt like I was doing something for my country for the first time. It is so awesome to see there are so many others that are of the same mind set as I am. Thank you Karen for making all of this possible.

Karen, Nice to meet you at the event. Thank you again for all you did to organize it. Thanks to you, Janet, and 55KRC, looks like we had 800+ attendees!

GREAT IDEA about reconstruction Congressional Benefits! (Pension, health care, AND term limit amendment) That would be a non-partisan project and something that could send a strong message that THEY (Congress) are not like members of the old Soviet system, with their dachas in the country while their constituents face long lines for basic health services and food. Hmmmm... I really think this has possibilities!

Terrific job! Terrific crowd! More of the same in Washington is definitely NOT the answer. Washington works for us. We need statesmen and women who go to Washington to serve for a time, not a lifetime. There is no way they can stay in tune with the American public. No benefits, other than similar to what we receive in the private sector. No private jets. No private limos. Let's reinforce states rights. Get the Fedl Govt out of the places where they do not belong.

    Security Committee Lead
Love the idea about a new political party, but i think we should also get a two term limit put on every representative and senator. We should also get a national petition going to get legislation put on the ballot for the November 2010 election to reconstruct the Congressional Benefits package. They should not get 100% retirement for serving one term, they should have to take private health insurance, and they should definitely have to pay into Social Security and Medicare. Thoughts?

The idea of a new party is tempting but I am afraid that by the time it has a major impact we will be a total Marxist state for sure! We need an immense number of people across the US all unified together and we need this NOW! What if we have a meeting with area Republican leadership to see what we need to do to see if the GOP will embrace 912? Maybe even see if we can get the ear of Michael Steele, newly elected head of the RNC? Could Glenn help here?

This meeting was just terrific! Thanks to Karen and all who helped make it a reality! So now what? We've got the spark - have to turn it in to a big fire now. One concern I have - all of us folks interested in th same outcome are fragmented and splintered all over the place. I mean, thousands listen to Hannity, Levin, Savage, Beck, etc. but everyone doesn't listen to them all. How do we get everybody together on this? We have to be unified.

Sorry, I no sooner posted than I scrolled down and saw Margaret's post and question. I was also thinking about the new political party idea on the way home. Two thoughts: do we try to reform the Republican party to prevent the divide and conquer effect or do we form a new party. I think we can do the new party if we go into it with an established platform (i.e. the 9 principles and the 12 values) and get going immediately.

This was fantastic, Karen. Thanks for getting this started. Now all of us have to get together and get organized to keep this movement growing.

So awesome to meet so many of you. What a great feeling to be with people who are as concerned and scared for this country as I am. It is great to know that indeed - I am not alone. Karen, thank you so much for everything you have done. It was a pleasure to meet you and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The meeting was great. Thanks Karen for all your hard work. Now it is up to us to keep this going. Socialism is not inevitable. See you at the Tea Party Sunday

This was an amazing experience and I thank Karen and everyone else who worked so hard to make it happen. Please let this be only a beginning. I was impressed with the passion I saw from so many people and as a group I really do believe we can make a difference. Thanks also to Brian Thomas/WKRC and Mike Wilson who also gave their time to support our cause. What a positive newsworthy event!

Like Glenn, I am getting P'd off at how the corrupt politicians who are currently on the hill are destroying our Founding Fathers' "Main Document", along with it's original meaning and purpose. May God, the Eternal Father bless this great land, The United States of America, with true spiritual and capitalistic power! May the eyes of the blind be opened, and may the ears of the deaf be tuned in to hear, is my fervent prayer! Is anyone going to bring any M & M's? 'See all of you there!

Stand up for the Constitution, Conservative values, free speech, free enterprise, capitalism, liberty, national defence, law & order, borders, English language, our culture, because they are what has given us the prosperity, freedom & security we have had until they were undermined & trampled on by you know who. Rebecca, I did some more reading up on the modern-day Boston Tea Political Party. Brian Thomas is only involved with The Cincinnati Tea Party, which himself, Steve Chabbot and other local Libertarian Conservatives support this Sunday. So far over 5,000 are expected to show up for this1st local rally. The Current Political Boston Tea Party is actually a broader U.S. organization that has tried to promote Presidential Candidates during Elections in the recent past. Just wanted to clarify this.

    •  I enjoyed my time there. The meeting was what I expected based upon the viewership of the Glenn Beck program. I'd arrived early so I didn't experience any problems related to gaining access or for finding a parking location. In the area where I met the main body of the attendees, at least when I arrived, had adequate seating and everyone was well spaced and appeared to really enjoy themselves. I'm very glad that no current (incumbent) politicians used this particular meeting for any self-promoting efforts or politicized this meeting. It was about the people attending the "We Surround Them" event sponsored by Glenn Beck and the local, concerned citizens. I thank everyone for attending and organizing this event.

I thought that Glenn's show would give us examples of the kinds of projects we could work on between now and Septembere 12, 2009, but it didn't. I have a feeling, though, that because of the strength of organization of Karen's and others' efforts that we will be working on quite a few things before September.
    •  A great start.

       good meet-up, everyone enjoyed it.
    • Michael S. Varner (+1 guest)
Great, alot of passion but I think we could rev the passion level up a bit more next meeting.
    • Ronna&Jae (+1 guest)
It was beyond excellent! This is the friendliest group (even considering church groups) I've met. Everyone bonded together for the same purpose. Karen, you did an excellent job!
    •  It was great to talk with you, Karen. Again, thanks so much for putting this together. Clearly there are many who have finally hit their limit with our country's direction. I hope that we, as a group, can quickly gain the power needed to make a clear and affective change. Something just 'clicked' in me recently as it did for you. I certainly appreciated your story on GB. I do agree with Glenn that I, too, am tired of 'picking sides'. It is government as a whole that needs to step aside and allow the private sector to act. The USA is based on capitalism and our Bill of Rights. I'm sure our forefathers are rolling in their graves. Quit shaking the foundation. To see that we are not alone is a huge start. I absolutely felt Glenn's passion tonight and feel very much the same. Thank God we have someone to unite us and others such as yourself to bring this to life; to bring our America back to life. Looking forward to a brighter, happier future. Godspeed, J.G. McCord

It was a great first meeting! Looking forward to working on the planning cmte. to arrange for more.

It felt great to be part of such a large group of "believers"! Glenn was unbelievable, as expected. I'm hoping our group will deliver some strong leaders. I truly believe new strength in the Republican Party will come from within the grass roots ranks. We're tired of the politicians that promise the moon and give us socialism. I dream of the party leaders being firemen, farmers, painters, business owners. Now that would bring true change! This is a great start, thank you, Karen, 550 radio, Brian and Mike.
    •  I had a great time. It was nice to be able to share the program with so many who feel the same as I do.
    • Elaine (+2 guests)
The enthusiasm of the Cincinnati Glenn Beck Meetup Group was contagious! I am committed to the cause and plan to recruit as many members as possible. I do believe that just one person can make a difference. However, in numbers we can move mountains. God Bless all!
    •  I had a great time. Everyone was friendly and it was so nice to know that whatever you said, people would agree with you rather than argue. It's definitely nice to know "we aren't alone"! I was also very impressed that everyone was so quiet while the show was on. It was wonderful being around so many considerate people.
    • Tracy (+2 guests)
I think it was a great turnout, and it was nice to see that I wasn't alone in my views. I wish that we could have talked after the show because I really think that we need to start doing more things in order to take our country back. The tea party is a good start, but I am sure all of us can think of some others.
    • Rainer Siepmann (+1 guest)
A welcoming and great start with my new and enlarged family! I met great and wonderful people!
    • Amy Burke (+4 guests)
It was amazing! Karen is awesome for organizing this event.
    • Anne Harpen (+1 guest)
This was a very moving experience. Very well organized. I won't forget it.
    • Rebecca (+2 guests)
When I got to the meet-up, I was pumped. I thought Glenn was going to start something significant. I got that feeling from others, as well. While Glenn's show was great and exciting to watch with like-minded people, I felt disappointed. I would be curious to know if anyone else did, too. I also felt frustrated that we were ignored. Glenn's management needs to include Cincinnati in his venues. We had just as large a crowd as the others and we should have been recognized. I think conservatives are frustrated and we really need to come up with some ways to be heard in a way that will actually start changing things.
    •  It inspired me to see so many people there. It gave me more hope for the future. I had a thought of what people could do actively for our country. I was thinking a march on washington will let congress know how we are feeling as a people. I don't know if anyone would be up for that. What are your thoughts?
    • Derrick (+1 guest)
A great group of people, only wish more speakers could have come ( like some local politicians) I'm also very disappointed in the local TV media, this should have received the attention it deserved! Thank you Karen,Brian Thomas,Mike Wilson and everyone that made this possible!
    •  This was an awesome experience for both of us. To see so many of us turn out for this event was encouraging to us. Glenn's show was touching and uplifting. Looking forward to more. Thanks to all who put it toether. Sam & Melinda
    • Peg (+1 guest)
I was very happy to come together with so many other people that share the same values and principles. Today, I had hope for our country again. First time in a long time. When Glenn got choked up I was so moved. His emotions were so real and honest. I look forward to more of the same in the near future.
    • Robin Paxton (+1 guest)
A great group of patriots gathering together for a common purpose - To band together to take back our country!
    •  This was exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing people again at the Cincinnati Tea Party on Sunday and seeing where this movement is going to go.
    • Marty Steer (+1 guest)
Honest, hard-working American citizens, all coming together because we all share the same concerns and fears for our country, is an invigorating experience because as a group we feel more empowered to be able to help bring our country back to the nation our forefathers gave us. Glenn Beck is a person with an unbelievable love for his country and his dedication to making an effort like this happen on the same day and time all over the country is amazing. We immediately felt connected to this group and I am very sure it will not end with this meeting. My only disappointment was to not see the TV media covering this event. In my opinion, that was blatantly irresponsible and unfair to the Cincinnati community. Hopefully next time, they'll "see the light."
    • Ruthie (+2 guests)
It was a wonderful event with tremendous turnout. Everyone was so happy to meet others who shared their dedication to our country. The hotel personnel were very accomodating and gracious.
    •  It was just a joy to come together with like-minded people.
    • Kelly Montchai (+2 guests)
I was energized just to be in the same room with like minded people. There is strength in numbers. Washington needs to watch out. Karen and Janet thanks for organizing our meetup. 55KRC, Thank you! as well for helping to organizing this and playing the best talk radio around. Without you guys I would really feel hopeless. We are not hopeless! We are not alone! On to the Cincinnati Tea Party on Sunday. Let our voices be heard. Our founding fathers would have found this situation intolerable. A government who is not listening to the voices of its people, is a government who has gotten to big for its britches. We can make a difference and for the sake of my kids and grandkids, I must act now.
    •  It was so good to see so many people who think like I do. Sadly, we all share the same frustration with our government. However, we are out there - just too quiet and not organized.
    •  the show was great....and it was nice to see so many like minded people....I would have enjoyed a discussion afterwards.....
    •  bigger venue where everyone can be in the same room.
    • Nicholas Smith (+2 guests)
It was a start. I did not go out of my way to introduce myself, but it was good that so many people were there. I will more than likely go to one of those meetings again. I ended up parking at the local school nearby because there were no parking places left at the hotel.
    • Julie (+1 guest)
My husband and I really enjoyed the WE suround them viewing party. It was awesome to see how many people came.
    •  I thought it was a great success, and it was great to be a part of this movement that will continue to grow stronger.
    •  Glenn Beck's show was impressive, but the Cincinnati turn out was so inspiring! It reinforces my committment to continue keeping the faith that truth will prevail in this country.
    •  It was great to SEE that there were so many like-minded people. Everyone was extremely well-behaved, but the few I was able to talk to were as angry and passionate as me! That was very important to me.
    •  Meeting was great, people were great, hope we all follow through to take back our country.
    • Marilyn Ostop (+1 guest)
I expected a little more direction from Glenn but the challenge was good and the crowd was pumped.
    •  I briefly met with Mr. Wilson. I thanked him for his efforts. I think Karen did a great job and I enjoyed her speaking at the meeting. Seating was limited, but I didn't mind standing for that short time which passed rather quickly ! It was really wonderful to be with people of like-minds. You may look at how to raise the spirit to stay involved and consider how to involve people more personally. At the end, there was a "flat" feeling. And I am not at all sure how to improve that. Overall, it was a very good experience and I will definitely be attending the Tea Party. We are all in this together and we're amongst friends From volunteer experience, I can assure that if you tell people that they are realy needed, the good ones will follow through with loyal committments. Thanks for the fun afternoon And God Bless You !
    • Maya (+1 guest)
Patrick and I enjoyed the event, but would have enjoyed it even more if we could all have been in one room. The invigorating and motivating feel of the event would have been more powerful with everyone watching the show together. I realize this wasn't possible given the sheer number of participants and I am, to be sure, thrilled that there were so many in attendance, I'm just throwing it out there as something to consider for future gatherings.
    •  It was great to finally see people that work hard and have conservative values finally banding together to start a movement. Normally you just see the liberal people that don't work or pay taxes banding together because they don't have anything better to do. We now have a common cause. To fend off Socialism and apathy in the US.
    • Jennifer Vannoy (+1 guest)
It was great to see so many people there for the same reasons. It's nice that we do have a common ground. We will make a difference if all of us stay the track.
    • Gary & Barb Mathias (+2 guests)
       Thank You so much Meetup!
    •  The meetup was EXCEPTIONAL. Very well planned and very well executed.
    •  It was good. I meet a few great people. I signed up for a committee. I only wish that we all could have formed groups or something after Glenn's program to get the ball rolling. It felt that there was lots of energy there that was just waiting to start something, but noone knew what to do.
    •  It seemed like the beginnings of Utopia; Hundreds of like-minded people with one goal; exercising the moral values which have always underscored American life until now. There were no cliques, no class system, only the beginnings of great cameraderie. However, many felt let down by the lack of continuing purpose, as Glenn spoke mainly about a 9/12 project as if this meetup were only a social experiment. That was cleared up in subsequent days by our members as well as the broadcast itself. Being a contemporary woman, I do not look for a "Messiah" in any of this but only the beginning of some true mobilization with others. WE MUST carry this on ourselves and with the help of Glenn and Fox. I am certainly here to help..........It was a pleasure and it is so good to not feel lost any longer.
    • SaltyBonnie (+1 guest)
There were too many people to count in multiple rooms. It was a great experience. The organizers of this event were terrific. I can't say enough about how professional it was handled. There are always variables that need to be contended with for any "first" meeting but you would not know any difficulties with this meeting. By having a venue that was flexible and the support of the radio station and others, it was a first class meeting. I was thrilled to be "out of the closet" with my Conservative views! Thank you all for our voice and beginning! Bonnie F
    •  It was a great turnout and everyone was so nice and courteous. It was great to see Brian Thomas and the pledge of allegiance was very appropriate. A great start!!
    •  Nice to see a lot of people ... could have been a led discussion after the TV show. Or a bit of what can/should be done next.
    • Karen (+3 guests)
I think we needed a few speakers to tell us how we should to porceed from here. Make plans to maybe go to Washington DC.
    • tbell (+3 guests)
It was great to meet many people that still beive in American Values
