The Classic Novels Club of the North Metro Message Board › Emma, Tom, and Huck
For members planning to attend our discussion of Emma on February 28, we will meet in the Creekside Room rather than the usual Room C. Another group reserved the room before a public group like ours was allowed to even request it.
Today I made a small change to our group's name to better describe the type of books we read. We are now known as The Classic Novels Club of the North Metro. Over a year ago, our most regular members all said that they wanted to restrict our selections to classic novels, and our new name makes that choice clear to prospective members.
For March, we'll be back in Room C. We'll read both Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, as those books really go together and are short enough to read in four weeks. If you have time to only read one book, read Huckleberry Finn as we will devote more discussion time to that book. It helps, but is not absolutely necessary, to read Tom Sawyer first to fully appreciate Huckleberry Finn.
I look forward to discussing the great Jane Austen on February 28 with our devoted readers!
