In this group the emphasis will be on exploring and studying the landscape. We will observe plant and animal signs, edible and medicinal plants, animal habits, and animal and human tracking. The pace will be slow to moderate. We will study each area, noting wildlife travel lanes, eating habits and dominant plants. We would very much welcome anyone who specializes in any nature based study such as birding, insects, mushrooms, plants, animals, or any other related study. We would also very much like to welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about these subjects. We hope you will join us and share your knowledge and interest.

We have scheduled a hike at the Garner Recreational Park. This park is a very nice oasis in the middle of Garner that has nice walking trails through a mature, mostly hardwood canopy. There are some very nice old growth trees in this park that bare notice. Read more
