August meetup

2 year anniversary of the "Under New Leadership" meetup of COGG. There might even be cake. Or a cookie cake. Or something with candles to celebrate the occasion.

As usual, everyone is invited to show up and talk about game development, games, current projects, past projects, future projects, alternate reality projects, and projects involving time travel.

Just a reminder to anyone who hasn't been to the DEC before. It's notorious for being hard to find. Check out the DEC site here:http://decindublin.com/contact/map-directions/ for details and directions, and be on the lookout for a large sign that says "POST" in front of the driveway where you turn to get to the building itself.

This was a great time to meet other like minded individuals. It took what was kind of intimidating, creating new games, and made it seem more possible. Meeting actual professionals in the industry was great as well.

It was cool to see such a large number of people, and so many involved! I'll try to see you guys again on some soon Saturday.

What a great turn out! I had some really good conversations, and I'm very impressed the progress of the projects.

With cake present as well, I'd recommend getting enough for about 2-3 slices per person.

Seth: We'll probably do delivery, unless some kind soul feels like going out to pick up pizza. It looks like there's Donatos, Pizza Hut, and this local place: http://www.rotolospizza.com/ within easy range of the DEC. It looks like Donatos or the local Rotolos would be the "best" option. Also, suggestions for how much pizza to get would be useful. I barely eat, so I always order not enough.

My vote goes for Donatos, there's one off of Avery Rd (the other direction off the exit). Do we need to pick it up or can it be delivered?

Sarah: That shouldn't be a problem. I'll make sure a vegan pizza is included. Now to figure out where to get the pizza from...

Would it be possible to have one pizza be vegan? How I usually handle that is I get a veggie pizza with no cheese. I can pay for it, and it can be a smaller size than the rest, if necessary. Let me know! (The cake is still a lie! :) )

The cake is not a lie! Well, it'll be one of those giant cookie things, so I guess it's not a "cake". Actually we're going to celebrate both 2 years of the current management, AND reaching 300 members in the group. I'm planning on getting pizza and a giant cookie, if anyone has suggestions/requirements for pizza, let me know.
