What do you like most about creating games?

The Challenge. A chance to show off. A chance to sustain myself doing something I am addicted to doing.

How would you describe your level of experience in game development?

As of the end of 2013 I have only been serious about game development in the last couple of months. I have taken the plunge very seriously though, learning Java, C#, unity, and FL studio. I have competed in the Global Game Jam 2014 and created a end product for that Game Jam. I have also began looking into Blender as a tool for modeling rigging and animating. I am new, but you will not find anyone more motivated. I joined this group to get a better understanding of the tools available and common practices for project workflow and organization. I also hope to find other self motivated individuals with a plan to succeed.

Is game creation something you do for fun, or is it more of a professional interest? Please describe.

Professional interest. I want to release a game by the end of this year. Even if developing is the most grueling thing I do. I cannot help but enjoy the challenge of doing so. I am also motivated by a healthy fear of working retail.

What part of game dev are you most into? Programming, animating, AI, 3D modeling, marketing, etc?

Programming, and Music. I aspire to be a jack of all trades, but realize that focus is important.

I have always wanted to develop video games, but never thought I had the know how to do so. After I finished my four years in the Air Force, I decided to take a leap of faith and go after my dream.
