I like the challenges, team work, and problem solving that go into creating a great game. At the end of development, being able to see the finished product and releasing it to the public gives me a lot of satisfaction, and all the hard work is definitely worth it in the end. I cannot say that there is one specific part of game development that I like more than the rest, but my strengths are coding in C# and writing music. I have been coding in XNA for about 6 months as of 12/29/2012. XNA is a great game engine, and its true power can be harnessed with the creation of a few basic class files. I have been playing guitar for 8 years now, but I also play synthesizer and bass. Music is my biggest passion next to coding, and I am always striving to learn and get better.
I would say my game development experience is pretty limited at the moment. I have made a few prototype games along with a few games I made for school, but I haven't made any HUGE games. While I haven't done anything in 3D, I would say I am pretty good at 2D games in XNA. At the moment, I am looking for a job or an internship as a XNA dev/musician. I would love to have the opportunity to learn more about game development, and I would love to work with a team. Artistically, I am not the greatest, and that is probably one of the hardest setbacks that I have.
At the moment, game creation is just a fun hobby, but I would pursue this professionally in the future if given the chance.
I am most into 2D XNA development and music composition. Those are my two biggest strengths.
Hello there. My name is Levi McGlone, and I am from the east side of Columbus. I love coding and game development. So far, I have learned C#, HTML5, CSS3, XML, and LUA. I would like to pursue my dream of becoming a pro game developer.
