I love that unlike movies, video games give you, the audience, agency in the story your participating in, but also allows a much longer time frame for characters to develop, grow and the story to do so as well. I find that video games are the best medium available to tell an engaging story with emotional impact.
None. I have an interest, but no active skills in programming or art. Just ideas, fascination and determination to get made the games I would want to play. If I need to learn programming, I will, but better yet finding others who are more skilled in certain areas than I could ever be and builds a team out of that. Best thing about game development is that it is over all a collaborative process to make something that both its creators and audience can enjoy.
I have interests for both.
As I mentioned above I have an interest probably in all of these, but not skills in them. I could learn them, but crafting the narrative of a game and figuring out how best to make the game and narrative of it flow well together is what interests me the most.
I'm a current out-of-school and waiting-to-return geology major with a big interest in video games, primarily narrative crafting.
