Introduction
Hello! I'm an SDSU student that'll be living in the area starting in early January. I love to play board/card games, my favorites are Ticket to Ride, Gloom, and We Didn't Playtest This Either.
Would you like to erase the brain-washing that Monopoly-type games have caused over the years?
Yeah. Monopoly's alright sometimes but I don't think it's the default thing everyone should think of when you mention board games. They're so diverse and there's a lot more stuff out there.
Without sounding TOO much like a pick-up line, are you 18+ years old, easy-going, and have any interest in learning a game that you've never played before?
I'm 22 and I'm always down to learn a new game. I give everything a fair shot and a few games before I decide if I like it or not.
If you have played a game before, would you be willing to show other members how to play?
I'm always looking for new people to play the same games as me and I'm pretty patient and good at explaining rules.
Would you be able to appreciate the ideals and mechanics of the game, thus thwarting your original plans of solely annihilating your competion? Don't worry, you're still scheduled for world domination the following day ;)
Yes. Dominating's no fun if you're breaking the rules to do it. Outwitting or out strategizing the other person, or playing tricks within the boundaries of the game is where the fun comes from.
What days of the week are you most able to attend a Meetup?
I'll be living about 14 minutes from SDSU and have reliable transportation.
