Dinner in Estes Park @ Wapati Pub

After a little stroll through downtown, how about some tasty treats. Thanks Mary for finding out the Stone Age BBQ is out of business. Here's another alternative that is dog-friendly!

The award winning Wapiti Colorado Pub celebrates and embodies all things Colorado. From the amazing views to the beautiful, if unpredictable, weather. From the glorious foods grown, raised and created here to the amazing range of craft and micro brewed beers and wines. From the wonderful people who call Colorado home to the travelers that come to celebrate Colorado with us. We believe that food should made fresh using as many local ingredients as they can. We have a wide range of great food from which to choose. Our menu includes juicy burgers, thick cut steaks, pub style sandwiches, crisp salads, succulent game meats, and so much more. We also have the largest all Colorado beer list in the state.

We have a very patient crew! While the weather could have been nicer and a more solid cover to protect us from the rain would have been nice, the gang still managed to have a good time, as usual.

The dogs did so well with the wait after such a long day, too!

Hmm, wow it's REALLY hard to find good dog-friendly restaurants in Estes. Our "covered" patio meant sitting next to sappy trees and getting dripped on when it rained. Food = mediocre. Service was good and my cider was tasty - but don't think we'll be going again.

I love your idea of cooking out over the fire instead. The dogs can relax in a more "homey" environment and we can be more comfortable too!

Agreed Buffy. Although we did enjoy our cheese-inspired meal of mac and cheese and cheese sticks :-) They gave us a small table shoved in the back, and I think it was too crowded for all of us to be comfortable....

Do you mean for this dinner - or at the KOA? I doubt there will be any openings at the KOA - especially since it's tomorrow. Best best is to call them directly.
