Had another great weekend in Estes. Loved the company and all the events & think we could have fed an army with our pot luck feast! Hope the trails will be fixed by next year, but the walk around the lake was a good change of pace.

Clementine, my nieces and I had another wonderful, memorable weekend in Estes! It's a fabulous way to escape the heat and enjoy our beautiful mountains doing the things we don't normally do on a weekend - pontoon boat rides, pot lucks, pancakes galore, relaxing, etc. We look forward to this every year, and it definitely didn't disappoint!

If you are arriving before August this summer, the highway department is still doing major repair construction on Hwy 36 between Lyons, CO and Estes Park with up to 10 miles of unpaved highway and major traffic delays. It is highly recommended that you use 1 of 2 other routes to get up here. Best route is via Hwy 34 from Loveland, CO. If Hwy 34 is not practical, then the next best route is up to Lyons via either Hwy 36 or Hwy 66 and then go left on Hwy 7 past Allenspark into Estes Park.

Well... looks like I'm going to have company in town that weekend so we may just join the group for dinner and skip the camping.

Carly - I think all of the Deluxe (dog friendly) cabins are taken now. You can then choose a 1 or 2 room cabin, or a tent site or an RV site. Go to the website & make sure you say you have a dog. http://www.estesparkk...
