Re: [The-Colorado-Bernese-Mountain-Dog-Meetup-Group] puppies available

Hi Lisa,

I'm the breeder referral for the local Berner club so I research litters all the time. European
litters can be a little more difficult because the rating systems are different so I took a quick
look and summarized the key results to help out anyone who might be interested.

It looks like this kennel had two litters close together. Both litters had the same dad.

TREY von ROMANSHOF X Shanet Cesar Brizo AND TREY von ROMANSHOF X Takeshi Perkuno Sargas

The breeder's web site shows the moms and indicates that they have passed both hip and elbow
certifications - HD 0/0 and ED 0/1 for both moms. The European system for orthopedics is different
than we are familiar with here in the US (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals - but the
results can be compared (seeth/Hip_Rating_Comparison_Chart_Bernese_Mountain_Dogs.htm).

It is recommended that there be two generations of certified hips and elbows so it would be great if
the breeder could provide the results for the grandparents too.

The Dad is shown on a different web site (eyen.html). He is listed as passing
the hip and elbow certifications as well as several other tests. The standard US recommended tests
are here:ealthCerts.html The father's father also passed the hip and elbow
certifications and his mother passed hips but nothing is shown for elbows.

Father: HD:A, ED:0/0, OCD:-/-, free from eye diseases, free from heart disease, DM - clear
(N/N), vWD I - clear (N/N)

Strange as it sounds - it cost the same for me to purchase him and send him to Colorado as it did for my sister to get a puppy in Ft. Collins! If anyone is interested, feel free to contact me to come meet and play with my puppy!
