Update: Christmas Parades & 2014 Bernese Calender Orders

From: Buffy

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick reminder and FAQ's about the Golden Christmas Parades...

What: A fun, short parade through the little town of Golden (about 5 blocks long). Parade entries include Santa, marching bands, and many other assorted holiday fun. We will be walking in the parade with our group. If you have a cart, feel free to bring it & decorate it!  It would be great if the dogs and people in our group would dress up as well.

When: Nov 30, Dec 7, and Dec 14 (Also Dec 21 - but we're not walking in that one). We meet at 10:15 to get organized. Parade starts at 10:30.

WhereParade check in will be located in the Golden Visitors Center parking lot at 1010 Washington Ave at 10:30 AM. At that time we will receive staging numbers for the parade. Please be on time - and plan to meet up with our group at 10:15. The entries will be staged along 10th street going West. The parade will be marching down Wash Ave from 10th to 13th street, will turn right on 13th street and will end at 13th and Arapahoe. The entire parade should last approx 30 minutes.

Parking? I suggest parking in the Coors Tech or Parfet Park parking lots - on Jackson between 9th and 10th. I suggest getting there at least by 10:00am.

Map of Golden:

Q: Which is the best one to attend? A: They are all equally awesome. :)

Q: Can I attend more than one? A: Yes!! Please do!

Q: Do I need to dress up, or dress up my dog? A: You aren't required to wear a costume or dress up your dog, but it is much more fun if you do! I have some extra hats that I can lend for the parade.

Q: Will some of the dogs be pulling carts? A: Yes!

Q: Can I bring my kids, grand kids, neighbors, friends, family? A: Yes! The more the merrier!

Q: Are we the best entry in the parade? A: You bet! (We are a crowd favorite!)

2014 Bernese Mountain Dogs of the West Calendar

The calendar is in process, and the proof is getting sent to the printer tonight. Once I approve the copy, it will go into production.  The calendar is 16 months this year, and is printed on beautiful glossy stock, and will come individually shrink wrapped. Perfect for Holiday Giving!

The calendar features your Berner Buds from the Colorado Bernese Mountain Dog Meetup against a backdrop of some of the wonderful places in Colorado. They are $25 each for 1-5 copies, and $20 for 6+ copies (plus shipping if you can't pick them up from me).

If you would like to order a calendar, please contact me no later than this Friday the 15th. I'd like to only do one order if possible. You can reply to this email, or email me directly at [address removed].

Thanks and hope to see you soon!
