Hello everyone My name is Lester and I was recently added as a member of our Team Awesome and I will be doing a weekly newsletter. The goal of these newsletters is going to be to get more of our members to be more active on the website and just keep a general idea of what's going on in the group.

I will start off the newsletter by Introducing myself a little more. I am originally from Wyoming and moved to Colorado about 6 years ago and I am loving it here. I am 25 and have been watching anime sine I was about 9 (not knowing that the "Cartoons I was watching was anime") on the Toonami block on cartoon network. I joined the CSAMG about 5 years ago and it has been one of the best things I have done. The members here have help change me from the super shy guy to the somewhat shy guy I am now and I have made some great friends as well. Some of my hobbies are watching anime (of course!!), playing games on my computer, PS3 and DS(mainly pokemon games). My favorite anime is Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm a fairly open book so if you want to know anything else feel free to ask.

One of the segements I plan to do in this weekly newsletter is Anime reviews. I plan to start watching a few anime I find interesting on Crunchyroll.com or from recommendations I that have received from fellow anime lovers. If you wanna give an anime a review feel free to send it to me though the meetup and I will feature it in the weekly newsletter. Other topics will come such as important news for the group and anything that the organizers want me to talk about.

One thing that the organizers are talking about it getting some donations going to help cover the cost of some the things we do such as possibly getting a group rate for when we host events such as those at It'z. Details for how we are going to ask for donations is still under debate but more than likely we will start having a donations jar at our meetups.

So to start off the reviews of anime I'm going to give the anime Total Eclipse a review.

Crunchy Roll Synopsis: In 1973, the invasion of an extra terrestrial life form, the BETA, began a war that has driven mankind to the brink of extinction. In an attempt to counter the BETA’s overwhelming strength in numbers, mankind has developed the humanoid weapons known as TSFs, deploying them on the front lines of their Anti-BETA War all across the globe. However, mankind still lost the majority of Eurasia to the superior numbers of the marching BETA. For nearly 30 years mankind has remained bogged down in its struggle against the BETA with no hope in sight.

My review: It is a good mecha type anime. Reminds me a lot of Gundam as the characters are using mobile suits to fight away the alien menace that is taking over the world. The main Pilot character is a top grade A test pilot from America hired to help test the new model of a Japanese suit, this is where he meets the commander and at first they clash left and right then they start to develop feeling for each other but both are too proud to admit to those feelings which makes for an amusing relationship.

Another good anime that i recently watched is Magi

Crunchyroll Synopsis: The story follows the travels of a boy named Aladdin around a strange land in which mysterious ruins called Dungeons are said to house priceless treasures. Together with Alibaba, a friend he met during his travels, Aladdin strives to conquer all of the Dungeons and obtain their treasures. Through all the meetings and partings he experiences along the way, Aladdin will also learn of his own fate...

My Review: This is a good action anime that focuses on Aladdin. Aladdin is a young boy who is a advanced magic but doesn’t know it. He enters a dungeon with Alibaba and they defeat the dungeon and Alibaba is named a King’s candidate. Later Alibaba has to face some ghosts of his past while Aladdin has to fight off a cult of dark magic users bent on taking over the world.
