Buddhist Paths to Love: The Six Perfections as the Job Description of a Bodhisattva
The Mahayana Buddhist tradition emphasizes that one’s spiritual practice ought to embrace effective tools for enhancing empathy, compassion, and love. This is not only to bring benefit to others but because these qualities enrich our own lives. One of their core models of practice is a symphony known as the Six Perfections: Generosity, Good Conduct, Patience, Joyous Effort, Meditation, and Wisdom.
Khen Rinpoche, together with David Gardiner, will present the Buddhist vision of how combined cultivation of these skills—in the midst of our daily and busy lives—can bring richness of intention and the beauty of interconnectedness into all that we do.
