I'm an EE with a penchant for software design. Currently thinking (sadly just that) of making my own programming language.
I don't have enough experience with individual microprocessors/microcontrollers to have formed an intelligent opinion on this. I have a Beagleboard and an FPGA I play with, and I've played with ATMega's and a few Arduino's.
C, because it is much more scalable than assembly. What other embedded languages are there besides those?
A MIDI translator/filter to connect my drumset to Rockband.
A security camera system that ran on power-over-ethernet, used wake-on-lan to wake up a server, and batched pictures uploads to the server then shut it down. And it would only save pictures where something had changed enough between pictures.
Thanks for joining! The main source of info for this group can be found at www.studentstartupnetwork.com It redirects to our facebook page (website still under development).
My goals for this organization are to provide every entrepreneurship opportunity and every resource in Denver for University level students. This is not your average networking group. Networking is a part of it, but I'm more interested in crowd-funding ideas.
Looking forward to seeing you April 5th.
