Meet and Greet

This is your monthly opportunity to commune with your comrades in hiking but without the boots and camel backs!
Come to Murphy and Scarletti's for the monthly Connecticut Hiking Alliance Happy Hour on November 15th and enjoy fellowship, food and beverage.
Murphy and Scarletti's is very casual in nature. Come as you are, whether in work attire or in comfy clothes. You will find everything from appetizers, to main dishes to salads and sandwiches. If you are up for a game of pool, this is the place.

Carolyn... and anyone who might be wondering about Meet and Greet locations... the goal is to keep them moving so that we are using different venues and different towns for these events. This is where you all can help!
When I set up the Meet and Greet, I scout out the venue first. I meet with the manager, determine if they have the type of space that would allow us to mingle. And I also look for a place that allows us individual checks and/or cash bar/cash food. And the locations usually have moderate priced menus to allow for various member budgets.
It would be incredible if another member would like to scout out a venue for December or January (or beyond) that is in a different neck of the woods. I can make you a host for that event and you can be the first to arrive to greet other members, etc. I will come too! However, I may not be able to be the greeter in some of the further towns.
Just send me an email... and we'll keep the Meets moving!

I work in New Haven and live near the shoreline. Might there be future, come as you are weeknight monthlies that might be somewhere not as off the beaten path for me? Not asking the group to rearrange anything at all, just curious.
