The Coven of The Rising Phoenix is an eclectic teaching coven located near the south shore in Western Nassau county. At the moment, we consist of four (youthful) elders. Each of us is an extremely unique individual. Our lifestyles, professions and hobbies may be diverse, but we are united by our strong bonds of friendship along with our celebration of the Goddess and the God. Personally, and as a Coven, we place a strong emphasis on community service and charity. Our goal for the upcoming year and beyond is to provide the Long Island and Greater NYC Pagan community with a place where they can learn, experience the ways of Wicca, and participate in our rituals. All of this while in a safe, fun and nurturing atmosphere. The majority of our rituals during the turning of the wheel are open and we welcome all that wish to attend. Some Sabbats are celebrated at our Covenstead and others are held in public venues.
Our meetups will be held monthly in either Nassau, Queens or Bklyn county. We are always on the lookout for Pagan friendly venues with good food and a great atmosphere. Our meetups will be a fun, friendly and open atmosphere for networking, socializing and learning about our coven.
Our complete class schedule 2010 will be available shortly. Our classes will be held monthly but separately from our meetups. Please check our calendar for all upcoming dates and lesson topics.
