100,000 Poets for Change at the Souderton Art Fest. Free event!

  • Sep 27, 2014 · 11:30 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

When we hear of writers from our little community doing public readings or signings or something of a literary nature, we encourage our members to go out and support each other.

Three of our members, Vicki Anderson, Uriah Young, and Katen Hana, will be reading poems at this event.  If you have the time, I'm sure they would love to have you there!

I would like to go to hear what poets have to say about social justice, but the location makes a big difference to me, so I can't say I'm going until there is a location.

I don't have a location on this yet. I have asked Uriah to provide an update and will post it when I have it. Sorry.

There is no event tonight. Instead this is an announcement posted by Lisa on behalf of Creative Writing Group member Uriah Young. Today is the deadline for letting him know if you want to participate in a special poetry reading event that takes place in September.

Congratulations Uriah! Where is the 100 Thousand Poets for Change located? If it is local I would love to wriggle my toe in that water!

I have just finished writing a book called The Reluctant Immigrant and have a publisher - but I am exhausted after 3+ years. I plan to continue writing poetry soon. Keep me posted. Thanks, Patricia.

I am SO sorry to miss out on this! I will, regretfully, be out of town for a week beginning July 27.

July 28th is the deadline to contact Uriah to see if you would be one of the two other poets that Uriah gets to bring with him for the event in September.

This sounds absolutely wonderful. I so wish I could go, and I love the challenge to write a poem about social justice. Unfortunately (and fortunately), I will be away at a conference in Denver and then on vacation in that area when the event takes place. I'm bummed to miss it. Have a wonderful time.
