The following is an email Mandy received from a Cavalier owner in need of help.
Hi- My name is Ashley, and I've been a part of this meetup group for at least a few months, but I haven't been able to make it to any of the get-togethers (I don't drive). I'm contacting you because I have a problem ,and I'm really hoping that I can get some advice from someone- and being a fellow Cavalier owner, and the organizer of this group, I was hoping perhaps you had some possible answers..
I have a Cavalier (obviously)- her name is Lucy, and she's one and a half years old.. She's my amazing girl and I love her so much- which is why it's been so hard to even sit down and write this.
I'm having some pretty bad health issues that require me to move out of the place I'm living right now.. and the only place I can move, won't let Lucy come with me. I don't want to give her up- I love her so much, but I can't stay where I am- my health issues are actually life threatening. I'm looking for someone who can take care of her for a few months, one or two tops, just until I get to a place where she can be with me again. I don't want her with someone I don't know- but noone I know can take her, and- I just- I need help. She's healthy, up to date, she's- a Cavalier, she loves everyone. I was hoping to find a fellow Cavalier owner to take her in for me..
Anyway, I really apologize if this email is poorly worded or structured- as I mentioned, it's incredibly hard to write. If I'm contacting the wrong person, I apologize- but if you have any ideas, or know anyone who could take on one more bundle of love for just a short time- if you have any suggestions or can think of anything that could help, I really would appreciate it.
My direct email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
My cell phone number is 301 706 9794. I am available and willing to take calls about this- it's very important to me.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

I have a friend who was in a similar situation as yours, and she got a letter from her doctor saying that it was medically necessary for her to have her dog with her and then the place where she was had to let her bring her dog. I hope that helps.
