Quick announcement everyone. I have just completed my certification and we will be celebrating this awesome event at the party. Hope you all can make it.

This cuddle party happens to fall on the eve before a traditional country holiday that celebrates winter creativity. It is an opportunity to share something of the best of ourselves...what we do best...and what makes us unique.

Each of us is talented in different ways and have something unique to offer to those around us. I have called this cuddle party the Shenanigans Fair and invite you all to bring something for show and tell. It can be an item of food (if you cook), the gift of music, a song, a dance, a story that you wrote, a demonstration of some game or program that you have created (for our nerdy friends). If you feel you have no talent other than to be able to relax and laugh and just enjoy being with friends then just bring a candle for the table and your own wonderful self.

I look forward to seeing you all there. It will be fun as always :D

I'm so sorry we missed your attendance last night, Ro, but you are right: family first! I hope you're enjoying a wonderful time with your family. I look forward to seeing you again at the February party whenever that one gets scheduled.

It was another fun event and wonderful to connect with people in new, exciting ways! I always look forward to each event with the unique qualities that the specific group of attendees bring, and last night was no different. I learned new things, got to practice exercising my boundaries in new, challenging ways, and still had a wonderful time connecting with absolutely beautiful, wonderful people!

I'm not 100% certain I'll be able to make it, as it turns out I'm moving into my new apartment the next day, so it's doubly important I make it all the way back to Springville afterwards. But I do intend on doing everything I can to be there. :)

    January 10, 2014

    • Matt

Sal, I'm happy to give you a ride if that helps.

    January 8, 2014

Welcome to the Cuddle Group, Justin. As Bryant said, come by yourself or bring 10 friends. The more the merrier, but there's nothing wrong with just showing up by yourself, and in fact many people do exactly that including me. Just make sure that if you are bringing anyone else, you update your RSVP with an appropriate count of how many are coming with you.

It's very important for the organizer to know roughly how many people to expect because Cuddle Party events are typically kept to a limit somewhere around 20 to 26 people. The idea is for it to remain a relatively small, manageable group. I've never been to a Cuddle Party with anything like 50 people, and I'm pretty sure Pam's apartment wouldn't accommodate those kinds of larger numbers, either.

      1 · January 8, 2014

    • Almoustine

The plus one was originally and idea that I had to help spread the word when I was just starting the cuddle parties and there were like only 5 or 6 people in the meetup group. It has proven so popular for people who are timid to try something new by themselves... and wanted the comfort of knowing that they had a good friend there that could give them some emotional support...that I decided I would make it a permanent fixture to have that option available. :)

      3 · January 8, 2014

  • Justin

Ok so we are new to the group is twister an acceptable game to bring? Can I bring more then one friend?

    January 8, 2014

    • Bryant

Cuddle parties are facilitated events as well, so ordinarily theres no need to bring anything but yourself although Pam mentioned that this particular party will have an optional talent portion if you have a talent that you'd like to share.

      January 8, 2014

    • Almoustine

Hi Justin, hmmm. twister. one of my favorites. Not sure thought, like Steve says there might not be enough room actually for a full party AND twister. However, You might bring the spin board and we could invent a game :D
