The Trans-Allengheny Lunatic Asylum (Armand Auclerc Weston State Hospital) is located in Weston, WV. It is about a 4 hour drive from the Washington, DC Metro area.
On Sunday, July 22, they are offerring two photography tours. I am planning on attending both the morning and evening sessions but you have can choose one or the other if you don't want to attend both. There is a night tour on July 21 (I'm not planning to attend that one).
The photography tours allow you entry to the interiors of the Kirkbride, the Medical Center, Geriatric building, exteriors of all buildings, and the grounds. These will be a semi guided tours without historic information. Check in for the photography tour is ½ hour before the start time. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
Morning Photo Tour - $100 (8:00 am to 12:00 pm)
Evening Photo Tour - $100 (2:00 pm to 6:00 pm)
Both - $150
*07/21 Photographic tour is a night tour. 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 am
and there will be no paranormal investigation allowed.

Only 15 people are going to be allowed to sign up each tour. You need to do so on the asylum's website. It has been known to fill up. So, if you are serious about going; I'd suggest that you register with asylum as soon as possible.
